Good media though, burns at 8X on the CyberDrive with FW 111B.
The "tread" of the disc is rough, unlike Taiyo Yuden discs.

Well those disks burnt well, but when I tested them in my computer dvds and my two home players, they couldn't read them. The samething happend to all three dvd+r I tried. Have never had problems like this with any disks before and those should be MCC, one of the best out there, thats very strange to me!

Doesn't burn at 4x (certified?),got writing errors at the end, but works fine at 2.4x. I didn't try at 6x or 8x as Nero says I can (4 coasters out of 4 is enough!).
Quite expensive media for this result, very disapointed by Verbatim quality. This is problem encoutered, as I saw in forums, by a lot of other consummers with the media numbered 43231.

Been using these exclusively. The 2.4x were perfect, although my last batch of 4x I experienced the issues described below by some people w/ the out edges of the discs. Ended up skipping near the ends of movies on my Philips 793C. Although it played perfectly in my HTPC's Lite-On DVDROM, so I'd just have to finish up the movies in there.
Never had a coaster in ~200 DVDs burnt, only issue is the outer edges. Just picked up 100 more and they are 50 packs now instead of 30 and the top design is different, so I'm hoping they are updated and the outer-edge issue is fixed as well.

I got this 4x media for $17 at microcenter. I found it to be a lot less reliable than the 2.4X red/silver top media. After burning about 5 coasters at 4x, 2x, and 1x, I only use it to burn less than 4GB. I think the media has problem with the edges. 2.4x media, while more expensive, is perfect. No coasters ever.
