If you see my comment above you prob. understand I have tried... ..And trying finally paid off!! To make your DV-464 regionfree, use the code from Peters excellent comment to Zaphods hack. I used that code, imported it to OR, pointed it towards my DV-464, pressed 0 ONCE and voila it turned off and was REGIONFREE!! Works perfect! I used a Palm Zire with Omniremote. I bought my dvd-player in Holland (region 2) and now it plays everything. | |||

Well people, i managed to get it region free (with a pda) but i noticed after a while that region 1 and 3 give weird "lines" that bounce all over, so be careful. | |||

I bought a few days ago Pioneer DV-464 – Region 2 Thank You Peter and all others!!. WinLirc worked for my DV-464 (hack for 454) To make it multiregional I did the following: Used the instruction for IR – com-2 from QuickSilver, January 22 2003: /Windows XP/ laptop - Sony Vaio WinLirc - version 0.6.3 and the conf file from Peter, January 09 2003 I think you can use www.agurk.dk/pso/backup/pioneer_region_free.rar posted by DespaVlad I tried about 50 times but nothing happened at all! Then I remembered that someone mentioned that the dvd drawer must be opened, and indeed when I opened it, it worked from the first try!!! Enjoy | |||

I used a Palm Tungsten|T with Omniremote and the codes as listed above. Before I got it working I had to remove the spaces at the end of the lines. Regio hack worked the first time. If you have a PAL television and you play NTSC movie (regio 1) you need to switch the DVD payer from AUTO to PAL (see manual) otherwise you will get lines and strange colours. | |||
