I tried nlopedebarrios hack(BDP-S360) for my BDP-S390 as there were no hacks posted. It worked like a charm. DVD player purchased in Canada, and initially would only play Region 1 DVD discs, now plays all. Unknown for Blu-ray. Credit to below: Region code hack posted by nlopedebarrios, March 10 2010: This one worked on a BDP-S360 bought in the USA: 1) Make sure there is no disc in tray 2) Press the "HOME" key on the Sony BDP remote control 3) Press number keys "1389310" 4) Power off. Now try a non-region 1 dvd. | |||

The One For All hack worked on my BDP-S390 (German version, updated to the final available firmware). I used a One For All URC-3440 and followed the instructions listed at https://davidroessli.com/logs/2011/11/sony-bdp-s480-unlock/ for the BDP-S480. Setting up the OneForAll remote control Note: if your controller doesn’t have a ‘Magic’ button, use ‘Setup’. Press DVD Hold the magic button until the DVD button flashes twice. Press 0533 or 20533 or 1516 to set your controller to ‘talk’ to the DVD player (only this code works!) Hold the magic button until it flashes twice. Press 994 Press Magic Key (don’t hold) Press 00189 (if your OneForAll remote uses 4 digit or 3 digit codes, use less leading zeros) Press 1 (this sets it to key 1 - it flashes twice) Hold the magic button until it flashes twice. Press 994 Press Magic Key (don’t hold) Press 00255 Press 2 (this sets it to key 2 - it flashes twice) Hold the magic button until it flashes twice. Press 994 Press Magic Key (don’t hold) Press 00095 Press 3 (this sets it to key 3 - it flashes twice) Hold the magic button until it flashes twice.
