Works great. Even on some of the pickiest DVD players. Able to change the Book type to DVD-Rom with no problems. Plays in PS2, JVC, Sony, Pioneer, never had a coaster with this media.

I've mixed experiences with these dvd's, so far around 5 failed of the 30/35, they were playable for some minutes but got stuck and when I burned the movie again they were okay. So if it's a combination of writer & dvd, or just the dvd. Normally I don't have this much failures. Previous purchased DVDs were Arita's (the bluegreen ones)

Bought a cake of 100 pieces from Futureshop. So far, has 12 bad ones out of 80 discs used, burning at 8X. Terribly unreliable. Encountered write error in the middle of burning, followed by 'Generating DVD high compatibility borders' warning message, and then recorder failed. I also used one cake of 50 pieces before, and have no problems whatsoever. Looks like I ran into a bad batch, with 15% failure rate, and inconsistent quality control from the disc manufacturer.

This is an update to my previous listing, since I have a new burner and have tested it with other players. Probably one of the best blank DVD media out there...Taiyo Yuden media coded I mean! I only save these for the most important backups and archiving pictures. These discs scored the highest out of any blank DVD media I have used to date...with Nero CD-DVD Speed a score of no less than 99 for quality! I wish I would have bought more. All 200 have burned with flying colors.

Excellent discs! Do NOT burn lower than 8x. It'll give high amount of errors when burnt at 4x or lower (at least on my Liteon SOHW 832s. Could be the result of a faulty write strategy from liteon. ot give an indication:
when burnt @ 4x ==> PI errors between 30 and 150, PIF errors between 2 and 16. ECC block sum is set at 8 with Kprobe
when burnt @ 8x ==> PI errors between 10 and 30, PIF between 0 and 4
seems like an inverse effect: general consensus is that when burning at a lower speed reduces the amount of errors. That is most certainly NOT the case with YUDEN000T02. Effectseen on approx 35 different FUJI discs, the 10 disc and the 25 disc packaging! Bought at www.opusshop.de

I want to add something to my comments I entered here.
A colleque of mine tried to burn a Fuji DVD that I gave him. He was succesfull.
The DVD he made also plays on my pioneer 106D burner and pioneer player. Also the DVD plays on my Cyberhome 402 homeplayer.
So the problem I have with this media is purely related to my pioneer writer.

received my 50 discs from Opusshop. The discs made by Yuden (these Fuji's are) should be the best.
I burnt 3 discs (burning no problem); 1 with deepburner, 1 with Nero and 1 with Pinnacle Studio. None works. I have tried burn speed 2x and 4x.
The dvd-writer and DVD-station in my PC (both Pioneer) and my dvd-player (Cyberhome 402) do not detect a drive inserted when I insert the written Fuji.
Both PC drives and dvd player play many types and brands.
I think I have to return the other 40 discs to Opsushop (fine shop by the way) Now I have to order new discs, so pay extra deliverycosts twice.

Gread disks and very beautiful to look at. However, burns only at 2.4x in my NEC ND-1100A even though rated at up to 8x. Other than that these are great disks. Anyone know how I could up the write strategy to a 4x? Thanks for reading. Got these at Best Buy (B&M) for $24.99 (- $5.00 rebate). Great price. FYI, when buying Fujifilm blank media. Those made in Taiwan are usually NOT Taiyo Yuden. They are usually
RicohJpnR00 and usually those will only burn at 2.4x. Those normally are not even rated and come with jewel cases sold in packs of 10. UPC 074101752106. They are not bad though though I prefer the Japanese made ones. Only the ones made in Japan are Taiyo Yuden.

Media says 8x, but my Artec VOM-12E48X decided to go 12X and burned it in 10:00 min flat.

Wasn't sure if it's TY, but bought anyway - needed to try DVD+R on my new Plextor-712A. Burned DVD in 6 minutes on 12x using Nero!
