Junk... DVD writer (H22l) would only detect 4 out of the 15 in the package. The rest were not recognized with Nero info tool except that they were Ritek D01.
1 that was detected burned to completion using Clonedvd and seems to work on my HD-A1.

Well this is my first dual layer recording. First i used nero 6614 ,it fail . Later i found a guide how to burn DL disc and it was IMGBURN. Success the 3rd disc of the 3 package got it right. The playback all pioneer players ,good, dv-285s and dvr-233s. This memorex disc is good no skipping or problems on playback does not matter the speed as long as it records without problems. Speed of 2.4x is ok. Higher speeds still too expensive or other brands.

First attempt returned multiple errors during data verification reading and bogged down at 51% complete. Second attempt stoppped responding during data verification at 52% complete. Tried burning this media on three diffrent drives on two diffrent computers. Errors at the end of burning prevent automatic verification on two drives. When manually checked, the disks had unreadable sections. When a disk did complete the write, it failed to be recognised on a DVD player. Many defects were noticed in the dye layer after burning. Holes and streaks radiating outward. Returned whole stack and bought Fuji disks which worked perfectly.

So far I've burned one. Without problems it would have seemed. However DVD Info Pro indicated an irrecoverable error not far off from the second layer. This was burned on my NEC drive, tested on NEC. Running the test in my Lite On drive to see if it's a false positive. (or negative depending on how you look at this.) Burned at 2.4. If I get another error, I'm seaking a refund.

Purchased 50-pack of Memorex DL DVD +R from Best Buy in Los Angeles. Burned 5 discs, none of them worked in my set-top player, a Toshiba SD 2710 (around 5 years old). This was really confusing because I had purchased a smaller amount of Memorex DL DVD +R from Staples and they had worked fine in my player. I ran the media ID in Toast and saw that the problem discs were manufactured by RICOH JPND0D and the good ones were RITEK D01 even though they both were branded Memorex. I brought the rest of the spindle back to Best Buy for a refund. They would not refund me for the discs that I had burned. I complained and wrote a letter to Best Buy Corporate Customer Service.

Just burned one of these at 4x!! I was messing with getting the layer break to work correct. I decided to use the guide here on videohelp using the new version of PgcEdit to setup the layer break, then it seemlessly used ImgTool Classic and ImgBurn to complete it!! When ImgBurn was started it said it was burning at 4x and I freaked! But it was too late to do anything so I let it go. I took it out after it finished and put it in one of my dvd players and it played flawlessly!!!

The discs have been working overall pretty well. I have a couple issues here and there with my Zenith DVB312 but I think it just may be due to the age. Newer players, such as multiple RCA units have played flawlessly.
I have also not burned one bad disc yet.
Oh, and these discs didn't play on an older G3 Mac thats equipped with a DVD drive. I think this is due to age as well.

Backed up dvds to .iso using dvd-decrypter. Burned at 2.4x without a problem using dvd-decrypter. Tried at 4x but did not make it through the second layer. I received a power calibration error. This is proabably not the disc as my drive is rated for only 2.4x.
Did not play in my Sony standalone but this is because the player can not handle dvd+r dl at all. Once it gets to the second layer it just stops.

Works 2 for 2 in the Lite-On. The Lite-On seems fine with these however I tried 5 discs in a Pioneer 109 (509) 2 worked. Tried with Nero 6 Ultra & DVD Decrypter. Definately the Pioneer doesn't ike these discs. My Pioneer 531h plays these disks ok, Sony Changer is so-so. Also in the 109 burning bast approx 7Gigs caused read errors after the layer change. If you have the 109 I'd steer clear of these disks.

Appear to burn fine every time (Pioneer 108 in a Mac G5) Sometimes have break-ups/freezes in first 10 minutes of second layer on playback, expecially with larger overall disk sizes. However, I have been able to just about elimate these by running the ripped VIDEO_TS file through a very slight compression (e.g. 3-5%) in DVD2oneX before burning. Somehow, this seems to clean-up or reset the layer change vs. buring the straight ripped file.
These guys are definietly NOT as reliable this way as the Verbatim DLs, but at $3.20 each, they're less than half the price, so 90% yield is OK with me.

Pretty scary 'Disc Quality' (Nero CD-DVD Speed) results:
DVD Decrypter burn- Average PIF: 15.82
Nero ROM burn- Average PIF: 3.94
Amazingly both played (read: loaded and functioned) on Toshiba SD4700 standalone but with numerous freezes and skips on the second layer.

Burns and plays both layers without complaint in Sony DRU-720A (actually DRU-720UL - external version), but only first layer is readable by standalone player (Sony DVP-NS425P). Attempting to read chapters on layer 2 causes player stop and various error codes.

In my first batch, I got 23 out 25! I used the first 2 to check my software. Second batch 25 out 25. A lot things can go wrong in DL (due to second layer). Check and use the latest firmware for your burner. I had problem with Nero 6.6.1!

Terrible. Wouldn't burn with either my NEC 6500A, nor my Lite-On 832S. These are fairly common burners. The Lite On would not calibrate the power setting, and the NEC gave the warning "incompatible media." Both drives were using the latest available firmware at the time. (2N0 and VS0G respectively).

WARNING! Junk!!! Do not buy! Black specks embedded within clear plastic of disc causing lots of data errors upon write completion. Second disc passed data verify but has light coloured spots that indicates unstable or damaged dye. Data integrity doubtful in the long haul. I already wasted hours on the two discs so I do not bother with the third disc. I am returning those defective crap for a full refund. This clearly show that quality control is not in Ritek's vocabulary. Shame on you Ritek!!!
