I have had NO problems burning video or data to this media; however, playback outside the pc world has been hit or miss at best. My Apex 110W won't read the media at all (nor would it read my Memorex DVD+R's), and my Durabrand DVD Player will usually play fine to the end at which point the video will begin to freeze and jump around randomly. Some discs will play all the way through -- I assume it depends on how much of the disc was actually written.

I had a horrible experience with these discs. The burning process appeared to complete successfully, but each of the discs I created had one or more of the following problems:

--Could not be read by the NEC ND-2100AD drive that created them.
--Could not be read by any drive that I had.
--Appeared to be readable but gave CRC errors when I tried to copy files off the DVD onto my hard disk.
--Windows Event Log showed dozens of errors about bad blocks.
--MD5 checksum utility showed the files as invalid.

For a while I thought my drive had failed, but it works fine with other media. I'm going to ask for a refund of what I paid for these discs, and plan to avoid this media in the future.

Though it's not the fastest media to burn out there, it turned out to be one of my absolute favorites.
I have burned tons of them, not a single problem, at least with the equipment I used. Excellent for data storage, video recording... I just haven't tested with video-game because I don't have one.
The movies played perfectly in Philips DVD625 and Gradiente D460.
I haven't tried the ones made by Ricoh, but these manufactured by CMC MAG are working just fine for me.
I will never, ever buy cheap media like Princo, Iota and Ritek... my data are too valuable to be lost after a couple of years.

Well I had high hopes as Philips developed the +r/rw format and I got these at Office Depot sale no rebate two 25/packs for $49.95 so $1 a disc. Well. 8 discs later, four are coasters...2 failed to reador format and were pronounced "invalid disc". The other 2 formated and successfullr were read and burned, but could not be formatted because after burning could not be read by the recorder and were pronounced "invalid disc" so thus coiuld not be finalized. Rebooting did not help. The other four were successfully finalized and could be played back on the recorder and an Apex 1500 which will play anything thrown at it (so far).
RUN don't walk, away from theses discs. Guess I'll wait for another Best Buy rebate sale and get the Fuji
for $1.2-/disc! Have no problems with Fuji, TDK or even the Memorex that don't work in my friend's Philips deck.

Will take the rest back for refund, they suck.

Media has a difficult time playing movies with my dvd player & my new ps2. When check for errors, they show signs of them with DvdInfo & Nero. I thought i had a bad batch of these, but the other spindle were the same exact as the first spindle opened. Errors, skipping and freezing. From Philips, consumers would expect high quality, especially with the money Philips are expecting for their DVDr, but they're so far away in competition to supply good blank medias to customers. CMC-type medias is not an excuse, Philips needs to step up and watch over what they are selling to customers.

These are the first DVD I have bought. I have burnt 25 discs in the last 4 days and have not had a single problem. Movie backups with DVD Shrink play perfect on my Philips DVD 619 standalone player and Data that I have been backing up has worked flawlessly.

These discs burned great in my LG GSA-4040B with CopyToDVD. Nero was horrible for my drive with some Circuit City Liquid Video DVD-R made by Optodisc. Then I switched to CopyToDVD. These discs played in my JVC XV-SA75GD even better than Memprex 4x DVD+R discs (RICOHJPN) I burned in the same with CopyToDVD.

Been going to a lot of media with my NEC writer and lots were awful. Even though I had bad experiences with CD-R's from CMC, these DVDs they made for Philips are turning out to be a superb combination with the 1300A.
