These are pure crap. They yeild power calibration error from time to time. Even after successfully burn, there would be cycle redundency error, which render the disc useless. Out of 25 cake box, only 5 would burn the outter tracks (e.g. more than 2 gigs of data). If you're willing to test and verify each burn until your data will stick you may not be too disappointed.

One of these will play in all of my dvd player while the other spindle will play in all except for my koss surround with built in dvd player. I have burned from the same iso on after the other and it never fails that on of the pack wont play in it, I'm clueless how this one 50 pack doesnt work in it. As long as I write UDF1.02 with Nero, the first order of this media worked great on all my DVD set-top players. Two months later I ordered the exact same media and this lot will not play on my Sampo 613CF. I used ADVDinfo on discs from both lots and the ID are exactly the same. bought 1-25pc and 2-50pc spindle from www. no problem recording with my sd-r5002 at 1x, but they cannot be read in DVD/CD-RW combo drive or my liteon older dvd-rom and some are unreadable in sony standalone player. but I heard that sony doesn't read a lot of other disc, so I think it is sony's problem, not the dvd-rw since they can be read in apex and dvd-rom that supports dvd-rw. some disc play with stutter/slower motion in apex but the same disc if readable by sony will play fine. sometimes movie will loop back/freeze/stutter at the beginning but playing back the iso file via daemon tool using powerDVD shows its fine. If I burn the movie to dvd-r, no problem at those points as well. So it leads me to think these are problems with some of those dvd-rw disc. Since I only use them for testing the movie, if the problem(s) found during dvd-rw playback are not found in iso file playback at the same scene, then I will go ahead and burn movie to dvd-r.

These DVD-RWs would not work *at all* in my PS2/Xbox.
They can be recognized in my SD-R5002, however sometimes they do not. (1 out of 10 times roughly) This can be fixed by ejecting and reinserting the DVD-RW.
Packet writing software with Direct CD and the new Roxio "Drag to Disc" and Nero InCD will NOT work. The Roxio software errors during formatting and InCD will hang when you try to write to the media.
InstantCD packet writing software, however, works flawlessly.
For general (non-packet) data writing these work very well when read/written from my SD-R5002. I was only able to read them in my PC DVD-ROM if they were written in the UDF format.

Had problems with Pioneer A05 and Princo DVD-RW. It just wrote fine. Took out the disc and reinsert and drive won't see it anymore. burnt 2 discs, same result. However, Toshiba SD-R5002 had no problems reading the disc written with Pioneer A05. Rewrote it, read it.. no problem.

used RecordNow 4.5 to burn an image of a movie, Burn was fine, plays on PC, does not play in Apex 500w makes nasty sound, but DVD-RW played ok in the PC afterwards.

10 pack for $12. Works okay in Toshiba SDR5002 with Nero 5.5.10 on Win 2K, but with some disks quick erase gets an error and you have to do a full erase. Used four disks so far, and one gets an error during full erase.

Purchased a 10pak at www.rima.com. Burned a data DVD and a DVD-Video using Pioneer 104 flawlessly. 90pak also available at $1.00 per disk.
Make sure the media is clean with no dust specks before loading it into the tray. Because, the disk does'nt get burned properly around the area where the dust is sitting resulting in pixilation or skips while playback on my standalone DVD player.
Worked fine on my standalone player Sony DVP-S360.
