First 4X burn produced a bad coaster, with very visible dye damage, and tons of bad sectors. Second 4X burn still had visible dye damage, but my drive was able to read the sectors. My aging DVD player was not.
Only at 2X could my DVD player read (at least partially) the resulting disc. Still visible dye damage.

Usually this media is perfect, however my latest batches have a nifty little made in Taiwan sticker, rather than the usual made in Singapore.
8x burning produced poor results. 4x was only ok upto 4.2gb, anything after that was, for the most part, unreadable.
This media will actually lock up one of my PS2s, and 2 out of 5 Apex standalones. That's why I selected it does not work on these players. It will load, but play back is questionable.
If these were $0.60/each, it'd be an ok deal, but at the price these command, think I'll avoid.
I emailed Verbatim about the poor quality of the media, but I haven't, and don't expect, an email back.
Switched to Maxell. Consistent quality batch after batch, and $200 cheaper per 1000.
