This media have several years now and it is still usefull, but at bit slow. Only works @ 2.5. It has been written with an HP DVD200i, Nec 2500@2510 and recently by Lite-on 1693 and still going strong.

Have had no trouble using this media to back up commercial DVDs. Burns well in the HP DVD Writer 200i and plays well in the Pioneer DV-333. However, I have had problems with it in the LVW-5101 DVD Recorder (no, this media isn't on their compatible list) - 4 out of the 20 or so discs that have been used in the recorder will not copy onto my PC - usually the first 1 or 2 VOBs are OK, but the others return read errors. The affected discs will erase and work just fine for DVD copying or backup afterwards, but after one error in the LVW-5101, they continue to produce errors in the LVW-5101.

The media was recognized by the burner but would not verify or play when finished. I tried many firmwares but the results were the same. Verify showed no files on the final burns and the ink had changed color on the bottom side. DVD+Rs work fine for the same jobs so it must be these DVD+RWs.
Avoid with this burner!!

I exchanged it at a local compusa store and 92% (23 of 25) have burned great with no errors.

This works fine in both the drive it was created in and in my Sony DVP-CX860. I also have used IFo Edit and added Jacket Pictures, then reburned with ImgTool Burn with 100% success. My only problem is the disc must be pristinely clean, but this is a known problem with my DVD player (very sensitive). SO the fact that it works reliably is definitely a good sign. Data also works on this media very well using Nero 6.0.0.19.
