I bought a 30 pack at sams club. 1X-2.4X but I burned all 30 disk at 4x with my lite-on 401s burner. Only 1 of them did not play perfectly in my my Philips DVD-711 stand alone player, But that one did play fine on my PC so I might have authored something wrong. In my opinion these are GREAT disks.

This is the 2.4x kind, made by RICOH, burns and plays as well as the best +R discs. Note that Verbatim also sells Data Life (Plus) +R discs made by MCC (Mitsubishi) and CMC, the CMC discs are supposed to be not so good. These Ricohs are great.

I bought these Verbatim DVD+R in local Best Buy in 50-pack spindle. I recorder in SP, LP, EP mode on Philips DVDR985 stand alone recorder, and they are great. They play in all my DVD Players with no problem.
Five of the spindle were bad, but it could be a problem with Philips DVD recorder as well. This machine is not so reliable as expected, it hangs up sometimes.
