qaac is a command line AAC/ALAC encoder frontend based on Apple encoder. Since 1.00, qaac directly uses CoreAudioToolbox.dll. Therefore, QuickTime installation is no more required. However, Apple Application Support is required. AAC-LC, AAC-HE, ALAC encoding are supported.
fdkaac is a command-line AAC audio encoder based on fdk-aac. FAAC is a command line AAC/MP4 audio encoder.
AAC ACM Codec is a AAC decoder codec. Based on the open source FAAD2 library by M. Bakker of Nero AG. Note: Currently this codec can only decode AAC, it cannot encode AAC!
AACGain normalizes the volume of digital music files using the Replay Gain algorithm. It works by modifying the global_gain fields in the mp4 samples. Free-form metadata tags are added to the file to save undo information, making the normalization process reversable. AACGain supports mp4/m4a files. Raw AAC files/HE-AAC/SBR are not supported.
