OCR: Tesseract can now be set up from inside VidControl — one click in the OCR window downloads and installs it automatically, or you point at an existing tesseract.exe. No more manual downloading and unpacking, and it becomes available immediately (no restart)
Reworked the OCR spell-check prompt: the buttons now say WHAT they do and HOW FAR it reaches ("Replace — here only", "Always replace — all future occurrences", "Word is correct — remember permanently"). New: "Skip all" (this run only) and "Stop asking" (finish the run silently) — previously the only way out of the prompts was cancelling the whole run
Fixed: a word you added to the name list was asked about again later. It stored the OCR misreading instead of your correction — so garbage ended up permanently in the dictionary while the correct spelling kept prompting. The same applied to "Word is correct"
Fixed: the correction box always showed the same word as the one found ("Baum" "Baum") because the spell checker's own suggestion was immediately overwritten. As a result, "Correct" did nothing unless you typed something yourself
Fixed: in the batch review, "OK" did not remember the word permanently (although it promised to), and skipped words were asked about again for every new file
Fixed: with two spell-check windows open, one could delete the other's names from the list again
Progress during long OCR runs: the prompt now shows "Subtitle 5/300 · word 2/3" plus a running tally — previously the progress bar was hidden behind it
When correcting, the Replace button now shows the target spelling directly, the affected word is highlighted in yellow within the sentence, German umlaut variants (ä/ö/ü/ß) are suggested first, and "Always replace" now works for short words like "hä" too
Fixed: the "Tesseract not found" notice overlapped the status line in the OCR window (making the log button look like part of the warning), and it could appear even though Tesseract was installed. If detection fails, the log now lists every path that was probed — so you can see exactly why
New license terms: VidControl stays free of charge (private and commercial), but redistribution is now defined — unmodified only, and only via the official sources vidctrl.de, videohelp.com and softpedia.com. See "About VidControl" in the app and the License page

1. The English version is not fully translated from German
2. Some of the default settings e.g. OCR is by default German
3. I could find no way to adjust the output file location or name, at least it isn't intuitive.
Other than that an exciting GUI for ffmpeg.
Appreciate the OCR and Plex / File server compatibility
Nice looking, clean interface.
