Importing selfmade menus to episode DVDs done with DVD ShrinkThere are several ways to do this and so I'm only explaining a straightforward way doing it with DVD Shrink. However, first you gotta make up your mind concerning the structure of your menu. I for one am perfectly happy with a simple menu that only allows me to jump to each ep since I can switch languages and jump chapters during playback with my remote more conveniently. If you do fancy language and chapter selection menus you must generate more complex dummy assets instead. I might cover this in a future guide, in this one I'm dealing only with a simple menu. How to insert chapter into DVD movie keeping menusThere are quite many cases when you want to have more chapters on the disk than it was in the original DVD. Say, chapters were inserted automatically by dvd recorder at some weird places or DVD was authored in a way that there is a huge chapter and you would like to be able to use your remote to go to some particular scene inside this chapter. Until recently it was a task close to impossible, as it required a very good knowledge of DVD structure and how DVD navigation works. And even then you would have to spend hours editing your disk. Starting with DvdReMake Pro 2.5.1 it is possible to insert programs to a pgc and chapters to titles. Together with implemented earlier "split cell" this allows DRM Pro user to insert a chapter point into movie with just few mouse clicks. The dummies guide to a perfect DVD backupWhy the hell should someone write yet another guide? Can’t you find hundreds of them in the Internet? If you go to sites like DOOM9 and AfterDawn you will be faced with endless guides on how to do it, and people will swear on their grandmother’s graves that their method are the best. They might be right. However, based on weeks of research in which sleep became a rare commodity, I finalized the way I backup DVD and all my friends agree with me that this is indeed the best quality backups. In this guide I will try to share “my way” of backing up a DVD. If you will keep in mind the fact that there is no perfect “holy grail” for that, and remember that this is “my quest” and “my favorite color”, then, I hope you will enjoy it. Merge previously split DVDs with DvdReMake ProIn this guide we will show how to merge two DVD disks which were created when one DVD9 was split into two DVD5 disks. Of course splitted disks had menus and we would like to keep menus (chapters selection, etc) in merged disk.
