| DVD Multi drive. Supports DVD-RAM cartridges at x3 and burns DVD-R at x4. No writing of dvd+. OEM version of this drive is SW-9572. Retail package comes with software for viewing and editing DVD-RAM movies in VR mode which is not widely available (Panasonic DVD-MovieAlbumSE). Package includes: Windvd 4, B's Rec Gold, B's Clips, Sonic MyDVD, DVD-MovieAlbumSE, RAM Driver, Filesafe Backup. 1 piece Panasonic DVD-RAM 4.7GB caddy type x3 speed media. Burns Ritek G03, GO4 and Panasonic x4 DVD-R at full speed, no problems. Burns cheap audio media fine. DVD-RAM excellent for backups and re-authoring/conversion from Panasonic standalone recorders. Good and fast at ripping audio cds. Excellent performace with EAC on scratched discs. CD-R burn speed at only x12 is not the fastest. Not so fast at ripping dvds (x6 max on dvd-video/dvd-r, x12 on dvd-rom). However, reads dvd-rs that other drives falter on. In summary, excellent burner package to accompany Panasonic E50 recorder. PCAV = Partial Constant Angular Velocity, the DVD is being written at an increasing speed until a certain speed. After this speed it will not increase anymore.
