I though Scatch Proof would last longer but I was wrong. Started failing after 10 months use (approx 100 rewrites) with various errors (3 out of 5 in the box are now useless) and can't format in either Sony DVD Rec or NEC PC Writer. I still have Verbatim DVD+RW 2.4x that are 3 years old and badly scratch but still play and record fine. Shame TDK used a Phillips disc as a basis!!
