Media works great burned with Toast Titanium 6.x and 7.x on OS X 10.3.x/10.4.x at 1, 2, 4 and 8x.
Burned all of them (more than 200 as for now) but 2/5 were trashed...
The EXACT model of burner on a G5 (nov 05) is LG GWA-4165B (not listed here) at 8x, but I burned them also on a Pioneer DVR-107 at 4x and a Pioneer DVR-104 at 2x with NO PROBLEMS. They ALL also played perfectly on my Samsung DVD-S224 DVD Player.
Only problem: with low or poor light I cannot see the ink of my black felt-tip pen on its grey top surface!!!
PS: The price is expressed here in EUR, not USD...

Firstly had a bad batch of datawrite classics. Mitsubishi dye. Ended up binning 2 boxes of them, surface defects and verify errors galore. All with data stored in the centre sectors. Visible defects in the dye on some discs too!
Decided to try Datawrite Titanium 8x DVD-R ones. All but one burnt fine so far, but try and play them back in the DVD player or PC, a quarter of them will lock up after 80%. DVD player just breaks up or locks up, trying to seek. PC also has problems reading from them! Its just hit and miss whether it works or not..
Very disappointing, because previously I used datawrite classic 4x RITEK ones and they where pretty reliable!
Had enough of this brand, will be buying another brand from now on.

The 1st disc I tried on dvd identify timed out when trying to get the media id...not a good start, tried about 8 and 2 failed.
Tried to burn a full disc with nero 6.6.0.3 at 8x and 1st one errored at the 91% mark 2nd one completed fine.
In the future I'd stick with ritek G05 disc. These discs simply do not inspire confidence.

CRAP!!!
I have scanned using an FE/TE (Focus and Tracking Error) program and the disc groove cannot be followed after 3.5GB. This leads to very high error rates and lost data if the disc is used upto the maximum capacity.
Strongly suspect that these are grade B or C discs being re-sold. They are not grade A.

Shipped with DL10 firmware, used Nero to burn DVD from image and it wouldn't playback on Pioneer player and also showed errors on IBM T41p laptop using WinDVD. Upgraded to DL12 and same image burnt perfectly and now plays without problems.

I coldnt find my DVD-ram drive in the list so i made one up. any ways i have a Matshita UJ-830s and these disks do NOT work at all, they come up with it being just a blank CD-ROM. and do not show as having 4.7Gb space.
