Description (from the manufacturer site)
Cinergy C PCI HD CI

High-definition cable television
With the Cinergy C PCI HD, you've got a future-compatible solution for digital TV reception via computer. As of this moment, you are capable of enjoying all of the programmes that are offered by your cable company in high-definition format in fully broadcasted resolution. Experience the unbelievable picture and sound quality of HDTV! And of course the DVB-C formats are still supported.

Digital video recorder
Record HDTV programmes in full high-definition resolution and in H.264 format with the push of a button or via timer. With integrated MPEG 2/4 codec, you can also record previous formats in exceptional quality. You have the choice between manual and timed recording—even remote programming via Internet is supported. The computer boots up from standby or sleep mode precisely when the chosen television show begins and then saves it on your hard drive automatically. No matter how you plan your recordings, they can be viewed immediately, even while the recording is in progress. And when you are finished, you can burn your recordings directly to CD or DVD!

Perfect television viewing on your computer
The Cinergy C PCI has even more capabilities when used in conjunction with TerraTec Home Cinema software: Automatic optimisation of aspect ratio, picture-in-picture function, Dolby digital (AC3) recording, teletext and subtitles, and user-defined favourites lists (genre, location), multi-tuner support, readily available help functions, and the commercial editor Cut!, which now makes it even easier to remove blocks of commercials. Sleek, and easy on your computer's resources, user-friendly, yet multifunctional—with the TerraTec Home Cinema, TerraTec has finally made the experience of watching television on your computer both real and complete! With the all-round solution from TerraTec, including remote control, you can enjoy perfect ease of use that is otherwise only available with expensive, hard-drive-based receivers.

Pay TV extension for Cinergy C PCI HD (cable), installation into an available PCI slot, Common Interface for CAM plus smart card, pay TV contract necessary (not included).
