Works well to download unaltered video streams at the maximum resolution permitted by each service provider when accessing content via a web browser (Netflix 1080p, Disney+ 720p, Amazon Prime 1080p, with some per title variance determined by service provider).
Easy to use, could use a few further refinements (such as preserving batch download list between sessions).
Product is expensive, but under active development. The difficulty is that it is caught in a constant battle to keep up with changes at the streaming providers end. Sometimes these changes cut off access, or reduce options to SD only, and it can take time to restore full functionality. There is no guarantee of long term viability, but all problems encountered have been resolved so far (albeit with some downtime). Most people who purchase this product understand the nature of these problems and are prepared to wear the risks.
It should be noted that streaming providers do not allow 4K on web browsers and uncertified hardware paths. It is unlikely 4K downloads will ever be available due to service provider limitations. Support for more providers are expected to be added with time. |
