2.3.5.a Pre-release
This is a follow up to the previous alpha release, with some changes and fixes to the new installer, plus a few bugfixes.
If you are updating from 2.3.3 or lower, this must be installed to a new folder -- dont copy it into your existing installation.
Overhauled the installer, and fixed several issues that had been reported with it.
On segmentation page, fixed an issue when adding points to a frame that had already been tracked.
On segmentation page, disable the load model button when a video has not been loaded yet.
In the export dialog, the output format now gets saved correctly when you save settings.
2.3.4.a1
This alpha release includes a new installation process, so testing is needed to ensure that it works correctly across different operating systems and hardware configurations. Please raise any problems under Github Issues or in the Discord server.
Due to the new installation process, DO NOT overwrite files in an existing Sammie-Roto installation. This version must be installed to its own folder.
Changes:
New installer based on UV. No matter what operating system you are on, all dependencies will be downloaded into the installation folder and should not have any effect on system python.
The application will now alert you when a new version is available, and let you update from directly within the application.
Returned the option to download all models during the initial installation.
Added additional tracking options on the segmentation page. You can now track masks forward, backward, and in 1 frame increments.
EXR exports should now more closely match the standard, and integrate better with other applications.

Installation (Windows):
Download latest version from releases
Extract the zip archive to any location that doesn't restrict write permissions (so not in Program Files)
Run 'install_dependencies.bat' and follow the prompt.
Run 'run_sammie.bat' to launch the software.
Everything is self-contained in the Sammie-Roto folder. If you want to remove the application, simply delete this folder. You can also move the folder.

Ensure Python is installed (version 3.10 or higher, 3.12 recommended)

Open a terminal and navigate to the Sammie-Roto folder that you just extracted from the zip.
