This is an excellent encoder, taking into account it's free - great for poor people, e.g. jobless students like me! Compared to TMPGEnc, it has loads more options and settings in some areas, but less in others. From what I've seen so far, MPEG2 encoding quality is more or less about the same as TMPGEnc's, but it is a *lot* slower at doing it.
Sadly it doesn't seem to have been updated in a good few years, but it would be great if someone else carried on the project! |
