Error apparently fixed on 12/01/2018-software update tool: XDM 7.0.5 (Help / update components) "update run as administrator".
There was a significant improvement in integration with the chrome extension, but still appears (.mkv) as the default extension in the pop up monitor, as a solution I changed the end of the video file to (.mp4), and this time I was successful in downloading, in subsequent videos it was not necessary to change.

Video download from youtube works great in latest Version. I faced no issues while downloading videos from youtube or other sites

Ok I downloaded the you tube in .mp4 manually in file / download video / paste video url. Within what the program is proposing still lacking some corrections, but the speed is impressive. The extension of this same program in chrome, to automatically detect standard video extensions of the web, at the moment is useless at least in this version, if read the comment below will know the why.

The application is very good download as a rocket, but sites like you tube are show the following error when I try to download in .mp4 : "Failed to append file parts, please check if the drive is full or write protected", The strange thing is that the application offers by default youtube download only in .mkv where there is no error and download without problems, if it did not have these bugs and errors I would give a 10 rating.
