As the release note states, the user is now required to supply their own copy of libdvdvss-2.dll
Place a copy in the Xreveal install directory in Program Files.
Latest version of Xreveal has some nice GUI status dialogs, and a few more bells and whistles Meh!

I LOVE this Ripping-Tool! Verry fast an easy to use. I would like additional functions, such as MKV support or compression with H.264/H.265. Thanks a lot to the Developer :-)

I've already posted a review about this but I feel it's a bit outdated now although I still have nothing but good things to say about it. I finally decided to get a 4k drive and Xreveal is still easily the best software for this in my opinion. AnyDVD seems to be gone at the moment, and I just can't get Passkey to work (says my drive is unsupported). But Xreveal has no issues. I had to flash the firmware of my drive but once I did that it just works. It's the same process needed to make ripping UHD discs work in MakeMKV.
In my previous review I mentioned needing extra work to get this going as unlike AnyDVD and Passkey you have to supply your own keys and BD+ lookup table files. That is still the case with the free version, but you can also upgrade to the pro version which will find the keys for you and remove BD+ without having to supply lookup tables. With that said though I do appreciate the manual process of this as it means this software can work without an internet connection or it ever gets removed from the internet (like AnyDVD). The pro version is very reasonably priced though so I will be doing that eventually anyways just to give extra support to the devs.
This software is fantastic. I can put any disc (at least that I own) into my PC and just play it in Kodi without issues. I personally feel that this is the ultimate solution for watching UHD and Blu-Ray movies on a computer now, highly recommended

Xreveal is a very solid piece of software with a developer receptive to feature enhancements. It's still a work in progress with some features that will hopefully be added in the future (ie handling fake playlists on BluRay discs).
I'd give Xreveal 10s across the board but have to ding it a little on the noted lack of handling fake playlists. Otherwise, it's excellent.

Brought and installed CloneBD not knowing Redfox lifetime subscription for Anydvd was no longer available - found this program . Followed install and how to use instructions on Xreveal site . Now I can access CloneBD no problem . Payed the optional subscription fee , gladly would have payed more considering the overpriced cost of the Redfox program . A big thank you to the developers of this program - well deserving of your financial support .

This software is perfect for my needs of watching Blu-rays in Kodi. However setting it up can be a bit of a hassle. Unlike AnyDVD or DVDFab Passkey, AACS keys and BD+ fix-up tables are not automatically pulled from a server when a disc is inserted, these need to be manually found and placed in the correct folders for Xreveal to use. Finding AACS keys wasn't too difficult and allowed most of my movies to play just fine, but finding the BD+ fix-up tables was difficult and time consuming. I did eventually find them them in a post on doom9, but it the filenames then didn't match what Xreveal was looking for. Luckily Xreveal states what BD+ file it's looking for so it was just a matter of renaming the downloaded file.. after all of that work, this program is finally fully working and can even play some movies that DVDFab Passkey couldn't. If you have the money and don't want to hassle with a program like this, then I'd say buy AnyDVD, but if you can't afford it this is an excellent alternative once all the required keys have been found.

Great free alternative to AnyDVD, just have to download the decryption key database and you're good to go.
