This software is perfect for my needs of watching Blu-rays in Kodi. However setting it up can be a bit of a hassle. Unlike AnyDVD or DVDFab Passkey, AACS keys and BD+ fix-up tables are not automatically pulled from a server when a disc is inserted, these need to be manually found and placed in the correct folders for Xreveal to use. Finding AACS keys wasn't too difficult and allowed most of my movies to play just fine, but finding the BD+ fix-up tables was difficult and time consuming. I did eventually find them them in a post on doom9, but it the filenames then didn't match what Xreveal was looking for. Luckily Xreveal states what BD+ file it's looking for so it was just a matter of renaming the downloaded file.. after all of that work, this program is finally fully working and can even play some movies that DVDFab Passkey couldn't. If you have the money and don't want to hassle with a program like this, then I'd say buy AnyDVD, but if you can't afford it this is an excellent alternative once all the required keys have been found. |
