I was told (and this could be completely wrong) that there is software available for this player that will allow you to upgrade it as new stuff comes out. I'm going to look on the toshiba site and I'll let you know

Hi, ALL.

DVD-player Toshiba SD-3750 r1/r3/r2-Japan don,t have solderless upgrade
(Example: PDA, DESKTOP, IRC, CD-R and etc....) in variant MULTIREGION,
and NTSC and PAL-enable, and Macrovision OFF.
The modification of this player is done only through special
Toshiba-Data-service-cable and special firm software through plugs On main-board (plug CN-601).

Best
regards
Fred

I've been scouring the net for a hack that doesn't seem to be out there. I did run into the info below, which may help someone. This is actually a workaround, not a hack, and I've read it will NOT permanently change your DVD player. It means that you will have to do this every time you use a disc that is different than the current region setting of your player. If option 1 doesn't work, option 2 is very similar and may fit your particular menu functions.

Option #1
1. Put DVD into player - wait for regional code violation screen to appear
2. Once this has occurred press the M (Memory) button on your remote
3. Press 1 for Title 1 and Play on the remote - this will over-ride the regional code violation detection menu
You can watch the movie by pressing Fwd on remote and change chapters by using the T (Title/Chapter) button on the remote.

Option #2
1. Load the disc. Press Memory
2. Highlight T with the arrow keys
3. Press 1
4. Press Play
5. Press Clear

I haven't tested this so use it at your own risk.
