PostRegion code hack posted by Jo.F, August 04 2003:

The Toshiba SD300X is sold in most of parts of Latin America as a Multizone(!) Player from Toshiba. Apparently the original multizone configuration has some issues as the player under certain conditions resets to “Zone 4 only” after weeks of working with Zone 1 & 4 DVD’s (Couldn’t test any other Zones). On the first occasion the shop, which sold the player to me changed, it for a new one, but on a second occasion the wanted to send it in, which would have been for free during the warranty time. (This can take anytime from days to month here in LA).
Before doing so I tried the ‘upgrade’ for the SD220 (http://sd220e.chez.tiscali.fr ) as described there and it works fine. Just turn the player on, place the CD (it will recognize it as a DVD!), wait about 15 seconds until the player stops (Time Display), turn the player off and on again -> Voila Multizone again

P.D. Zoom 606 Zoom also works on this Player
