This is the first time i ever heard about playing princo CDR's on Sony.. this is cheap brand, i just stoped trying anything burned on TDK, Verbatim, Sony.. because they didn't work... But, DVD-R copies (Princo DVD-R, 2x) work just fine on my DAV S-300. I will try Princo CDR this afternoon. About hacks.. i have doubt any hacks will work without hardware intervention. I have my Sony for three yrs now, wathed over 1000 DVD's for sure, it work very good and just don't have the guts to intervent on chips (i found the how to manual 2yrs ago..) | |||

Allows you to access the SERVICE MENU and recalibrate the drive for single and dual layer dvds and cdr's. Press the MUTING and RETURN buttons on the player (not the remote) and turn the volume knob to the right. To Recalibrate the DVD you will need a Single layer DVD and a Double layer DVD. You must run both tests to set the Drive up properly and you may as well do the CD test too. | |||
