I have a Samsung HT-BD7255R/EDC Blu Ray/DVD player, the European version (I live in Romania) that means it works with discs B and 2 regions and I tried to make it region free especially for my Blu Ray discs region A that I have from USA. I tried the hack posted by Dog1 for HT-BD1250 http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/samsung-ht-bd1250/10086 and it works, unfortunately for blu ray discs only, but this is most important for me. I'll keep try other hacks for DVD discs and if I'll find one I'll post it here. So, "Put the disc in the tray and close. As the play goes through its loading process, keep pressing the 'disc menu' button. Eventually, it will load the disc menu, bypassing the region locking." One comment, after I pressed 'Disc Menu' button, something like 2-3 times per second just after I inserted the blu-ray disc region A, my player turned off automatically. After I turned it on it was able to play region A blu-ray discs though it still displays Region B/2 in the system menu. My conclusion is we can try different hacks for other DVD/BR players and there are chances to find an applicable one for our player. | |||
