This is the same hack as for the PD9012 by Lupa and PD9016 by colebrooke. It works exactly the same on the PD7016/37 portable dual screen car dvd player. PD7016 region hack. Switch on the unit and wait for the main blue screen to appear (NO dvd inserted -- it will only work with NO dvd in the machine). With the blue screen displayed, push the up/down buttons on the front of the unit below the screen (above/below play/stop buttons) in the following sequence: up, down, up, down, up, up, down. A preferences menu will appear which then allows you to change the region code 0- 6, again using the up/down buttons. Press the play or stop buttons to exit. | |||

The above did not work for me. Did a search here and the hack posted for the similar 9016 worked: 1- Turn on the device with no disc 2- Open the tray and leave it open 3- Press the Setup button 4- Navigate to the Prefer menu (all you have to do is press 3 times the right navigation button on the front of the device, nothing else) 5- Press (next) -> (previous) -> (next) -> (previous) -> (next) -> (next) -> (previous) (Make sure you DO THIS USING THE BUTTONS ON TOP OF THE DEVICE right next to the setup button) 6- Now you can use the navigation buttons UP and DOWN to select the region you desire. (Remember 0 is region free so I recommend you use it.) 7- Press OK to confirm Region Codes: 0 - Region Free 1 - USA 2 - EUROPE 3 - ASIA PACIFIC 4 - AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, LATAM 5 - RUSSIA, INDIA 6 - CHINA | |||
