Hi, i performed the RC6 hack last night. It worked great like all RC6 hacks for the very first moment. I checked it with Eagles "Hell Freezes over", R1 and Armagedon R1 and all my R2 disks. The method as i said before was : First transmit the RC6 code from a home made parallel IR transmiter.After the well known "-------" sign appears you press the following "121 212 005 255" from the recorder's remote. the last 4 digits are not displayed but it's Ok. Then press "PLAY" . The display now shows "NO DISC" and you have already a Multi region DVD player. | |||

I have a Philips dvdr890 I have all regions now I (1) I press play then 159 then play and I got ------- on my dvd player. (2) then put the numbers in 121212005255 then press play and it came up no disk. Then I put the player into standby for one minute. and that on the philips remote that came with the 890 and all regions working ok now Phil Surrey | |||
