I REALLY like this program. I like that it allows me to compress directly to XVID with my DC30+ card without having to try to build filter graphs (which I never had much luck with). Paired with ffdshow you can achieve real-time deinterlacing, noise filtering, etc as you capture. That being said, I think there are a few things still missing that, if added, would really notch up the overall functionality of the program. In order of importance, here is what I think would the best additions.

*Frame drop counter: to keep track of how many frames are being lost during capture.

*A/V sync: Like the dynamic audio resampling that Virtualdub and Virtual VCR have, this would be a huge help especially since it's a software encoder.

*No Preview mode option: to shut off the live preview during capture so more CPU time can be used for encoding. Maybe the ffdshow filters would then be unavailable, but the reduced drops would be worth it IMO.

*More audio sample rate options: 22050Hz, 48000Hz, etc.

*More bitrate options for MP3 & AAC audio.

*More frame rate options for video (23.976 & 29.970 would be great).

*Additional XVID specific settings might be handy too. Maybe the ability to create custom capture profiles based on size/quality.

Despite these current lackings I must say this is one of the coolest capture programs I've seen in a while. It's already got a lot going for it and it'll be interesting to see how it evolves.

It does a good job of capturing and creating MPEG4 video in real time on a fast PC (AMD FX-55 CPU). Unfortunately, it does not capture any audio at all on my system and I have no other problems with any other capture software (Nero, WinDV, Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, etc.). The volume monitor does show audio.

Seems well layed out, but it needs to have 30fps as an option for capture framerate. Also, there's apparently no control over video bitrate/codec. Not bad, but could be better.
