Every disc burned perfectly and played nicely at first. But after about 6 months, all of them started skipping for no reason. The Memorex DVD-R's that I have used before these still plays perfectly, which is why I don't know what is wrong with the Office Depot ones. I guess it is always true that, "You get what you pay for."

These are one of the best brands I've used so far, and I've burned over 1000 DVD-R in the past 2 years.

Out of 200 of these Office Depot discs, I've only suffered one issue with improper burning and that was my fault as I didn't notice I had left a fingerprint on the burn side.

Every computer DVD-R burner and video DVD-R recorder I have used have loved these discs.

However, on my computer(s) that I have used them on, I burn only at 4x instead of the rated 8x. I recommend burning at that 4x speed for best results.

No read problems when burning at that 4x speed.

On video DVD-R recorder burns, I've only had one playback issue and that was with an old DVD player that I bought 7 years ago. Anything made within the past couple of years read them fine, even those cheapie no-name $30 DVD players read them with no problems.

The good thing is that if you peruse the Office Depot circular in the local US Sunday paper (or in OD's online website) you can often see specials on this media for $29.99 or so for a 100-pack spindle. Sometimes you'll see them advertise the 50-pack spindles for $14.99 instead.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a couple of spindles when you come across such a deal.

I like these so much, I just purchased two 100-pack spindles (for $24.99 each!) the day before I wrote this entry.

Just bought this at Office Depot for $28 for 100 cakebox. Have used RITEKs before and gotten very good results on my Liteon LVW5005 recorder and my NEC 3500AG burner.
