Works fine at 1x. Have erased and re-written several times and title menu continues to load promptly in standlalone Pioneer DVD-737. No glitches in picture quality. In short - if you cant rewrite at 2x speed then this is a good option.

Successfully written a DVD Movie which I authored in DVDMaestro using Nero. Nero seems to detect the media and will ony allow burning at 1x speed. The Disc took about 25 miutes to write. Total Size just over 2GB. Not yet had any problems

Very weird. For a brand that Pioneer says is what should be used in the A05, doesn't write anything that can't be read in any other drive. Just ripped a movie in ISO and file versions. Copied to 2 discs from the same package. Stomp says media is defective. Nero burns okay but won't play in Apex AD-1500 or PS2. Discjuggler 4.0 burns ISO okay but plays only in the A05. Ditto with Nero burned files. Only plays in A05. Refuses to play in Matsushita 8583 DVD Rom player as well with any burning program. Back these go...
