Turn on unit Open lid (All instructions on remote) Press SETUP Press down-arrow to reach PREFERENCES menu Press ENTER Press down-arrow to reach DEFAULTS menu Press SETUP Press 1379 (You will see ---- appear one-at-a-time) Press ENTER until you reach desired region (9 for region-free) Press STOP Voi la! You are in business. Hack survives turning off the unit. Haven't tried unplugged and without battery. (Unit purchased from Target store) | |||
