DivX may be the pioneer in this video compression game but I have been disappointed with the resulting videos.
I am extremely happy with xvid mpeg4 codec. I am from the photographiy field and always look for edge definition, overall sharpness + visible details in shadow areas. Something sadly lacking in any version of Divx.
Only saving grace is that my DivX certified standalone dvd player does accommodate xvid + ac3 rips. |
