Using Vista SP1 on a Sony VAIO VGN-NR11S with Realtek High definition Audio. Not possible to enable recording on the device. Universal Audio Driver refuses to work; option to use the driver can be checked but the device does not appear in the (empty) list of audio sources. Shows message "Unable to install audio filter" when trying to do the audio test. Tried starting WM Capture before browser, tried running as Administrator etc. Doesn't work. In my opinion this program is not suitable for use under Vista and it really shouldn't be advertised as being so. If I get some more time to waste, I might try it under XP. Until then, it's off the hard disk and I'm moving on. Customer experience rating: 2 out of 10 and I can't recommended it to others. |
