I used this tool the last 5 years. It is one of the most important download manager you can currently get. I had many download problems with my WLAN connection. With download managers from firefox/edge chromium/chrome my download files often break and sometimes I could not resume the download! jdownloader makes it much easier. To make it short, it has the most powerful feature you need:
Pro:
- Automatically resume downloads, if download connection (e.g. wlan) is unstable!
- Download pictures, audio files, archives, txt, html and videos from many well known sites (e.g. youtube, dailymotion, etc.)
- It can convert your downloaded video files and convert the audio track to m4a/mp3/etc.
- Many 1-click-hoster (free or premium version) and video sites, websites, internet blogs are supported
- Resuming of 1-click-hoster downloads is often available
- Can download video files from official free TV stations, which do not use encryption and are not region blocked
- Choose the download speed or limit it to a specific value
- It is possible to set the amount of connections per download and hoster
- Auto-Shutdown feature after finished downlods
- Unbelievable much updates per week
- You can buy premium access to 1-click-hoster to get faster downloads, but you also can use the free version (it is much slower)
- Support Cloud space
- Very stable software
Contra:
- You need some time to understand and use the huge amount of features and assistents in this tool
- It uses JAVA, but it is very fast and the RAM usage is moderate
