Once learnt there's no reason why saved clips should not be ad frame free.
Always move forward one step from start and one step back from end leaves clips ad free.
From here you can dump the original recording saving space on your htpc or other device.
Personally I find it better than comskip or cutterman and quicker prior to encoding for other devices.
