I have been using TDA for 3 months and it is really easy to use and covers most of the basic need to author a DVD, including building title and chapter menues. However there are two major pitfalls:
1) The menues are preset and do not allow much customization. You can choose from a list of the menu style and that is.
2) Exception handling. This is really frustrating when TDA gives you cryptic error messages like "Write error in ntdll.dll" and "Read error in TMPGEncDVDAuthor.exe module". These error messages are hardly useful. I got absolutely no ideas what the problem was. But most of the time, the problem comes from the video clips. But as TDA is targeted for non-advanced users, the error message should be more meaningful and informative. |
