When it comes to video editing softs -- even the light duty ones -- I remain something of a clumsy neophyte, so take that into consideration re my numerical ratings. This comment is to note that (as best I can determine) AVIdemux 2.6.1 was the last to be offered in a portable version. And that is a terrible pity. @kodec (Comments post #4) -- No, I don't think you are missing anything. It appears to me that some important functionality has indeed been stripped away from this program over time, and that is not a good thing either. Format options and other things that used to be there are no longer. So I'm going to hang onto the 2.5.x and 2.6.x portable versions. I'd rather have a program that (sort of) worked sometimes, under the right conditions, than a tool that kept on under development but was hobbled. |
