I had a very problematic audio track-Valkylrie which possible has one of the most uneven channel mapping I've seen to date with extremely low vocals and then an ear splitting desert attack at the start of the film. You turn it up to hear, then jumping out of the seat at explosion effects! This film like many churned out today on HD is enough reason to make a specific Home mix and even out the ear busting DRC levels, not quite Tenet standard but bad enough!

AC-3 Normalizer using Aften made the film track sound crackly with lowest compression and AC-3 Lav was even worse. I could have gone through Audacity but time factor was an issue and a lot of messing around with indivual wavs. TMPGenc was no good too, so I made a 2.0 PCM, ran it through Levelator and then converted it back Vanilla AC-3 Stereo. Perfecto! I wouldn't use it on Music as it will probably ruin the dynamic range of instruments as levels are flattened during the process, but for those annoying noisy films it works a treat! Downside is you can't input pure 5.1 tracks and I didn't see the point of remixing my Levelator wav output back to multi channel as info is already lost, but the Stereo result is great. No more turning the remote up and down constantly! Thank you for a fantastic piece of software!

It has worked wonders on a few horribly encoded commercial 5.1 ac-3's with wrong loudness levels, messed up dialnorm which when later transcoded still sounded like crap. Just convert your track to wave format and input in Levelator. Then you can recode your adjusted/corrected audio file back to 5.1 aac or suchlike with a preferred converter. Must try this out in Win10 at sometime!
