Sorry in advance to posting a reply to a very old thread but I figured it would be better to try than to not. I am trying to make my DVD player region free but I only really need to be able to play PAL discs. It seems a guy in 2014 did the exact same thing I am doing now by posting on another very old thread asking if the SD2700 was hackable: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/42947-Toshiba-SD-2700-Hacks the guy (slipkid) seems to have the exact same North American model player I have and he says that the region free hack for the SD220E published by Hans in 2002 (which you claim works on the SD2700) does in fact not work for this model, saying that it remained completely unchanged. This is currently the only DVD player that I own and I am very attached to it, I don't want to accidentally brick it by doing something wrong, so I wanted to ask if you could share more information on what your system information is (if you still have it after 23 years), which is done by turning on the player and pressing Zoom, 6, 0, 6, Zoom. Hopefully this reply will find you or somebody else on the website that could potentially help me, thanks. | |||
