This burner worked wonders for me for 9 solid months. then all of sudden it started having errors during the finalizing process. I checked the forums and troubleshooted it and found that it had nothing to do with the software I was using or the computer I used. Comments posted by Arnold from United States, April 24, 2006. Well, it has 2 important things to me: 1. it writes CD-Audio with 0 offset 2. it has 2 different connexions (USB2+IEEE1384) It burns really ok if you feed it with the right media (apparently it's picky). Unfortunatelly it does not read as good as its predecessors, I mean defected sectors. I hate to see people saying X is bad because it cannot read DVD at 16x. I don't care so much about the speed if a DVD/CD-ROM chokes on the first dirty/scratched spot. I have several burners at home, I use the LG for one type of media, the Plextor for another a.s.o. I would say 8-9. Comments posted by Marian Popa from Germany, January 18, 2006. Rated this writer 9 of 10. |

Works fine with DVD-RW/+RW. Reads CDs fine as well. Refuses to write CDs no matter what. Just hangs a whole PC while trying to write without any error messages or something. I doubt that this is a hardware issue. Trying to find what's wrong with the software. About to turn it back because it should be that hard to get it work for this kind of a device Comments posted by Mike from United States, November 20, 2005. Rated this writer 7 of 10. |
