With reference to the comment I made previously..

Unfortunately there seems to be variable quality with this media.

While the first spindle appears to burn well, but further down the spindle there are some scratches/marks on the dye side and a chip on the white printed surface on every disc throughout the cake.

Problems have arisen with other spindles I've purchased. I have seen dark burn spots, PIF clustering and imperfect dye on one mixed batch spindle (poor). Another spindle has fine marks on dye surface causing PIF clustering which affects an otherwise high quality burn.

All this is a shame because if you can get a good disc it will burn and scan well..but it's too infrequent when you want consistent results from your media. A shame.

White non-printable surface, silver centre with branding. Surface seems high quality, markers work fine.

Disc burns fine @ 8x, with Solidburn off scans are worse than expected with some high PIE peaks, but decent PIF.

With Solidburn on for known media, excellent results, low PIE, low jitter and very low PIF.

It seems the BenQ's default writing strategy is not as good as the learned one. Therefore keep Solidburn on if you're burning these.
