region code hack 1- no disc in the player 2- press "repeat" on r/c 3- if you've bought the player in region 2, then digit: 5, 7, 5, 3, 8 4- region code will appear on the screen (upper left) 5- change region code, using the region code you want. "9" stands for region free 6- wait for 20 seconds 7- press "open disc" on the player 8- press "power" on remote control 9- tested with region 1 dvds, it works !!! | |||

Tried "Region code hack posted by el drugo, May 30 2005" on my region 2 player and it worked a treat. Once I used the correct "repeat" button. You need the one on the bottom right. | |||

This hack works with region 4 disks. There are two repeat buttons on the remote, use the bottom right hand one. | |||

This one works for SAMSUNG DVD-P355 purchased at region 3. 1. Turn VIDEO on TV set on. 2. Turn DVD player on. 3. Press "open" button and make sure the DVD tray is empty 4. On Remote Control, press "Repeat" button. Do not confuse yourself with the "Repeat A-B" button. 5. Press the numbers on your remote control 56732 with accuracy. 6. Your region code 3 should appear on the upper left corner of your TV screen. 7. Press number 9 on your remote control. 8. Wait for 10 seconds. 9. Open Tray from the player. 10. Turn Power off from remote control. 11. redo step 1-5 to see results (if 9 comes out instead of 3, than you did it !).. If not.. Try and try again.. Good Luck ! PS: tested on reg 2 and 4 .. worked perfectly.. | |||

Note that the Region 2 Hack messes up the DivX/Xvid picture for some strange reason. Possible though to go back to region 2 again using the same routine. | |||

Hack doesn't work on my Samsung DVD-P355. Bought new in Ukraine and tried the Region 5 code but no luck. "Repeat" button doesn't do anything when pressed & when I'm entering code, it only allowed me to enter 2 numbers at a time (i.e. 53, 81, 4) after which "No Disc" appears on to left and nothing else happens. Any additional tips would be great. | |||
