I copied this from the hack for 753. It worked fine for me: It's lite the hack for the HR 735, but instead of waiting 15 sec, open and close the tray directly, while my new region was still shown. Anyway, to make this more complete... The digit sequence you'll need will depend on your region; The sequence for region 2 and 4 have been tested and verified for HR 735, the one for region 2 is tested and verified for HR 750 by me. The other probably work as well. The last digit is the new region, 9 is for multiregion. Region 1 use 2,9,3,3,4,9 Region 2 use 5,7,5,3,8,9 Region 3 use 5,6,7,3,2,9 Region 4 use 7,6,8,8,4,9 Region 5 use 5,3,8,1,4,9 Region 6 use 2,4,4,6,2,9 Instructions: * make sure the tray is empty * Press 0 five times in a row. (1 sec intervall?) * Press "REPEAT" (Not "REPEAT a-b") * Enter the digit sequence corresponding to your region. -On the second last digit, your region should be shown in a blue box up in the left corner -On the last digit (the new region), the new region should be shown in the blue box instead of the old one. * Eject and close the tray before the new region dissapears from the screen. * Turn the player off and on, it should now be region free:) Worked for me, good luck;) Thank you all for detailed step-by-step listings! | |||

I have personally verified this hack on my DVD-HR755 ( I live in region 2). THIS HACK WAS PERFORMED USING ONLY THE REMOTE CONTROL! I would like to clarify some things in the instructions. My clarifications are added after each step below: Instructions: * make sure the tray is empty - AND CLOSED * Press 0 five times in a row. (1 sec intervall?) - ENTER ALL 5 ZEROS WITHIN TWO SECONDS MAX! NO INTERVAL! * Press "REPEAT" (Not "REPEAT a-b") * Enter the digit sequence corresponding to your region. - AGAIN – DON'T TAKE TOO LONG! TRY TO ENTER THE REGION CODE AS QUICKLY AS YOU ENTERED THE ZEROS IN THE PRIOR STEP... YOU MIGHT WANT TO PRACTICE... :-) -On the second last digit, your region should be shown in a blue box up in the left corner - IGNORE THIS STEP, TAKES TOO LONG -On the last digit (the new region), the new region should be shown in the blue box instead of the old one. - IF YOU SEE WHAT LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE ENTERED CHANNEL 9, THEN YOU MUST QUICKLY OPEN AND THEN CLOSE THE TRAY! * Eject and close the tray before the new region disappears from the screen. * Turn the player off and on, it should now be region free:) - AND IT IS!!!
