this worked on my region 4 device: 1. Obtain a IrDA capable palmos device. 2. Install a copy of Omniremote Pro 2.15. 3. Obtain a copy of PanasonicRegionHack.pdb available at http://www.novii.tv/up/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12939&sid 4. Install "PanasonicRegionHack.pdb" on your Palm. 5. Open OmniRemote. 6. Load database "PanasonicRegionHack". 7. Switch to category "RegionHack". 8. Turn on Panasonic Panasonic DMR-XW380 9. Insert a dvd to get it into DVD mode, then press stop. 10. On your Palm press button "Sequence" (which is a macro for pressing all buttons). You may lose any previous setting with OmniRemote if you choose the last method. 11. Unit will respond to each code in the sequence with a flashing light. 12. Screen should blank and HELLO should appear. 13. Any region of DVD should now play. May work with all newer Panasonic PVRs. | |||
