Press SET UP on the remote. Highlight INITIAL SETTING and press ENTER. Highlight OPTION and then press DISPLAY button on the remote. The Firmware and region code will be displayed. Press 3690 on the remote. The machine will go into standby. It is now region free. | |||

Well, everything works as described. After the player goes in standby mode though, it still isn't region code free. Is there something missing in the hack description? | |||
