 Region code hack posted by Mover50, May 25 2008:I`ve just bought one of these DVD recorders ,I didnt find a hack for this model ,however by checking around and modifying instructions from other forums .This is what I achieved . Go into the Home Menu \ next go to manufacturers lock {in settings} but do not go across on the menu to enter the 4 figure code. Input {numeric} 0000000 then enter .The display on the tele will come up saying Congratulations . Finito !! I have checked with region 1 2 3 and 4 all work now . | ||||
| Region code hack posted by humu, July 01 2008: hi the thing with the 0 doesn't work on my LG389 But I found another hack solution: download http://aiwaownersnetwork.tripod.com/pages/lg/5000_series_firmware.html then burn it on a CD-R put the CD in the player and then a menue pops up and you can choose the region code. "0" is free. this works 100% - great | ||||
