Hi, after a lot of search I found this hack. I don't know if it works yet. I am planning to buy the system this week. If anybody tries it and it works, please let us know. Thanks! Ensure disc tray is empty. 2. Press "Repeat" (this is on the bottom right of the remote control and shouldn't be confused with Repeat A/B which is on the left) on the R/C then enter 5,7,5,3,8 3. The number "2" (current region code) should appear in the top left of the screen. 4. Quickly press the number "9" button on the R/C, for "multi region". 6. Please note Carla's hack above must be for another DVD player. There is a Repeat/FM Mode button top-left on the remote. There is no Repeat A/B. Trying the above with the Repeat/FM Mode button does nothing. Accepted wisdom is that you need a one-time-use specially coded remote to hack this box. | |||

The reason for posting this hack is becuase i have this player it is awesome with good sound and picture, yes it has no input but their is a workaround buy one of these scart connectors (the ones that convert scart to phono, red whote and yellow and have a inout output button, set it to input adn plug your playstation sbox or what ever into it voila it works as a sound input with any device!!! i region freed it by using a psp with 1.50 firmware (if yours dont come this version you can downgrade it)then instal and run irshell and type the make the above file as our friend pointed out as a rdf and hit 1234 (i did not need to hit 5) URGENT *********************** for all those people like me that could not play xvids and data divx error and were about to through the macine off the 100th floor to its death , dont this is merely a software error and update which is available from sony...heres the link.................... http://support.sony-europe.com/HAV/downloads/down ... 0&l=en one updated this baby will play any divx and xvid and is a dream .......hope this helps ...im only posting as their is lack of info avalaible on the website about this baby email me any comments/suggestion/question ebaystock@yahoo.co.uk have fun with this monster system | |||
