I recommend this player.
It is (as I see it) a combination of BSplayer, VLC and Windows Media Player, with a load of new features added, which makes it the best video player I've ever used.
I've been using the BSplayer for a long time, but it comes with adware recently. I require a player which supports and easily loads subtitles (.srt, .sub and other for avi files).
KMplayer uses its own codecs and filters, loads any format of subtitles, video and audio are excellent, everything is highly configurable and not too difficult to use.
